New to the four stroke side, time to upgrade from my srx, want a similar power with better suspension and sitting position, thinking of looking for a left over or used apex or attack, demo'ed both and like the way the attack (LTX) handled the bumps, any heads up before I begin my search, also does an attack fit in a triton 10X101 enclosed trailer?

Yes it fits, and yes you'll like the attak or apex but they are not as slot car as your srx in the turns, but after a while you will get used to it and ride just as hard but at a savings on your body of about 60% IMO The technology between the two sleds is night and day you will not regret it for one second. Power is not an issue.

the apex/attack is MUCH faster IMO then srx was..and night/day different in seat position, and suspension is MUCH smoother....

still have the same old slider wear issues as yamaha seems to be inherent to have.....but most of has have those issues worked out.

I rode an SRX just the other day,and it felt like a stepped back in time 50 years from the apex...LOL....

you will LOVE the no smoke,no smell and the way these motors SING and love to be held to the bar.

Dan

i have a 06 apex and bought a 01 srx to ditchbang with and really like it, the suspension and seating position is night and day but i think the srx corners twice as good.

srx & viper are awesome trail machines, wished that they came out with the mono ra suspension a long time ago

I just bought an attak and love it! I also have an 01 SRX. The Attak definitely doesn't corner like the SRX but is better in every other aspect in my opinion. Its not significantly faster than my SRX but it will walk away from it. I noticied that I on average use about 4-5 less gallons of gas than the 2strokes I ride with when its time for them to fill up. As for it fitting in the enclosed trailer, it does but just barely with the 136 track. Over all I love the sled, love the sound, love the extinct 2stroke smoke and especially love the electric start, reverse and suspension. SRX I still a beast but you won't regret upgrading to an Attak.

I rode with a doo 600 and a doo 800 and the fuel was no diffrent between the Yamaha and the 800 and the doo 600 used just a drop less.

I usually ride with a ZR900, Z570, SRX and mxz 600. None of the sleds are even close with fuel consumption compared to the attak. Think the closest any of them came to the Attak at fill up time is with in 2.5 to 3 gallons. I know cause I point it out to them every time haha. :4STroke:

did you get anything yet?

This may all be true if you keep a block between the paddle and the handle bar and never dare to wander off the trail. My 06 submarine makes about 60 miles on a tank of fuel. My buddies carry extra fuel so I don't shorten their day. My top end in 6-8 inches of fresh snow is 50mph. If you ever plan on venturing off trail (I don't see why else you'd bye a crossover), pick a Crossfire a Renegade or a Switchback. Anything but the Attak. :o| If all you do is meander along groomed trails or blast on a frozen pond...yeeehah!

Hey HAYASTUSA are you sure your driving an Attak sounds more like my nephews '91 SRV

now im confused, local dealer has 06 apex left over's at really good prices(3000 below sticker), the 07 attack is about a grand more, still leaning toward attack cause im a bigger guy, 601 225 lbs, what do you fellas think?
