Gentleman I am seriously considering buying the 136" Airwave suspension for my 06 Attak. Does anyone know anything about this thing? I saw it at the Novi Snow Show and was extremely impressed. What should I do? I am a bit concerened about transfer and the fact that the lines may freeze how about your thoughts.

I think your wasting your money!!! THe Mono Shock is a great skid. I owned a Expert X and Have ridden many M10's and the mono shock works as well or better then the those skids. Why dump 1500.00 plus into an skid you don't need???

The Airwave he is talking about is totally different than a M-10 or anyother FAST Inc. skid for that matter. Here is a link to the company that built this skid and gave them the exclusive rights to sell this new design. http://www.airlinkperformance.com/ From what I have heard this suspension will be awesome for guys who see alot of rough trails.

I think you would be wasting your money as well..
Suspensions can only be so good.. No suspension will ever make up for a Really Nasty Trail..

Without the benefit of actually trying one you can only go by what you hear. However, if you've ever ridden in a big truck with an air-ride seat you've noticed how nice it is. I believe there's a good chance it will be a great product. Time will tell.

I'll let you know how it is when I get mine, supposed to be here next week. But of course who know's when we'll have enough snow to even ride.

I had one installed in my wife's Vector and I'm anxious to get it on the trail. She is very small (100lbs with a rock in her pocket) and I'm hoping the adjustability will work well for her vs the typical skid that is taylored to a 180-200lbs rider.
Here's what I've observed as it sits in the garage. The air valve toggle is a bit cheap looking and mounts just above your right foot well. Not the most convenient spot in the world however that is what FAST recommends. When pumping air into the bladder the sled barley moves from sitting almost on the ground and then all of a sudden the rear end shoots into the air. Maybe thats how its suppose to work, but seems odd. Also when on the sled and you sit down hard, there seems to be a point where the whole skid collapses..again maybe an adjustment issue but seems odd.
The air line runs along the tunnel and looks like it could get disconnected if accidentally kicked.
If you ever blow a bag or break a line you are hosed as the suspension drops to the ground.
I personally like the mono in my Attak. I had an M10 in my 136 Viper and wasn't all that impressed.
I'm hoping the suspension will be an eye opener if we ever get snow.

If you were replacing the Pro-action I'd say try it. But the mono?? Save your money :ORC

I find, that the RA susp is too soft.
even with the BB spring its too soft.
My 07 RTX with the CK skid is too soft as well.. i have to get the antibottoming kit for it.
i love the fox floats... so i cannot see how changing to air ride in the back can be a bad thing...
would it not be cheaper to get fox floats for the RA skid rather than a whole new skid ?
just my 2 cents no need to flame pls
cheers

Well boys as much as an improvement the Mono is over the old Pro Action I still see a need for improvement in this sleds ride. I am pretty damn good at dialing in suspensions but the chop with the transfer rod slap and the total ability to provide any additional added comfort to the ever looming G out. I have this Mono tuned damn good and in my opinion it can and should be much better.

i rode 3000miles last year with apex i knew the suspension wasnt that great. i switched to a expert x i wish i would have done it sooner. after another2500 miles i can tell you that suspension was a big improvement. dont get pursuaded by people that dont know. i think you will like the air ride especially with its ability to be infinetly adjustable.
