Actually it doesn't. This year is looking pretty much the same as last year. Mid November 2015 the weather here in Wisc. flipped from warm'ish and wet to cold and DRY. Looks like the flip to cold is here but the same DRY as November 2015 is also showing up.

I sure hope I'm wrong!!!!!

I just looked up the 15 day extended forecast and it doesn't look good. They are still staying high 40's to 50's for thanksgiving. So unless something happens fast it going to be a long before the sled even touches the snow. I wouldn't mind so much if it didn't snow a ton I just want to to be cold so i could go ice fishing in a month but it looks like thats not going to happen either. I would much rather be sledding or fishing then remodeling my basement which i have planned to do this winter. Its just so frustrating watching the news everyday and seeing the weather.

I think for the 5 years we've lived here in NW Wisc. I could icefish on Turkey Day every year but 1. Not going to happen this year based on the extended 4cast.

Yeah I've only ice fished once on thanksgiving a few years back but usually I can go out the first or second weekend in December and I think the second weekend will be pushing it this year.

I don't think the jet stream is coming down anytime soon. This winter is starting out worst then last year and that was with the "El Nino" thing too.

I get what they are saying but when is it going to happen becuase the way its looking this it shaping up to be the warmest November ever. It would be nice to be able to drive my sled once around my yard before January.
