Throttle cable adjustment

Incase anybody has the same issue... I checked my tps and it was reading 3% at the zero position. I loosened the cable a couple of turns, it dropped to 0% at zero. Just ran it a couple hours and it didn't shut down once. Seems to be problem solved.

Same thing happened to me the other day wanted to stall every time I stopped or right when I started to move. Loosened the cable a couple times till it was 0% and it fixed it.

It's such an annoying issue, but easy to fix. Hopefully this will save some people a silly trip to the dealer.

i have a 05 rs venture 973. i think my tors are bypassed and the rpms still want to hang quite a bit...would it mean the carb sliders?

a part from that sled runs like a charm but everytime i try to raise my iddle to spec (1300) it wants to hang a bit . when iddle is rolled back just a smidge...(1000-1200 rpm) sled iddles fine but seems a bit low isn't it?

last question ; would it missed oil pressure if iddle is low? on my harley if the iddle is too low the oil pressure will drop and cause a disaster... is it the same with the genesis engines thx ALOT guys

I would clean the carbs. Guessing dirt or crud in carbs/pilot jets which is reason you have to raise idle screws to accomplish the 1300rpm. It puts you into a different fuel circuit in carb. Never heard of low idle causing oil pressure issues on the Yamahas. Solid lifters here. You should fix your TORS not bypass. They are there for a reason. Trust me. Also this is not the RS Section. Those guys may be more help.
