Trying to replace the throttle cable and not understanding how it comes out of the throttle block. Seems to be some sort of metal plug pressed in to the block locking into the groove on the cable. What needs to be done to release the cable? The attached picture is the inside of the block.

I've had mine apart several times, the ball will pull thru there.nothing locking it in there.
Mine the cable snaps into housing. Have to pull pretty good to get it out and push it in pretty hard to get in all the way. When in all the way will see the small end sticking through housing.

To remove the lever from the ball pin: You remove the lever from the throttle block and rotate the lever until the slot in the lever lines up with the cable, the lever should release.can you pull the ball pin from the thumb lever ?
