When fine tuning the clutching. What is an economical timing system to be using? Any info would be appreciated!!

The one I am using works very well and paid about 450.00. I have had it about 10 years. Only problem I think that company has gone out of buisiness. You should be able to a search on the internet. There was one in one of my snowmobile magazines someone was using for grass drag timing that looked somewhat like mine.
