all depends on what tire you go with. So tires are heavier then the next one.
Over all since your going with 26" tire it will be some you will notice but shouldn't be anything to worry. I'd say see how it goes, if its more then what you wanted to lose then put a clutch kit in it.
I've got 27" tires, I did notice a difference but to me I could careless about top speed. If it will only go 58mph instead of 68mph like it did with stocks then I guess it will take me alittle longer to get where I'm going!
I just feel I need a clutch kit because my stock machine doesn't have the power to turn the tires in thick condition and keep the rpm's up like it should. I run mine in low for now. Some day I'll get a clutch kit. Not to worried about it.
If you don't want to sacrifice any top end then stay with 25" tires.
Good luck to you and ride safe!

I spent the extra money on aftermarket rims for one reason and one reason only.
Greater OFFSET = wider stance and more stability.

Let me make sure I understand. The after market rims are made to offset for the wider tires?? If I stay with stock I need to add spacers??

You won't need spacers for 26" tires on stock rims.

Did you ride your griz with the stock tires before you went to 26" mud lites. If so how much power did you loose. I'm struggling with this decision!! I've been through this with trucks before and it ended up costing me alot of money. I also don't want to give up the dependability of the griz.

You will loose that awesome set back feel of the stock tires and about 5 to 7 mph on top if you dont change the clutching or do any mods....but if you drive it like a race machine ...you will be unhappy.

Will the clutching get me back to stock with 26" tires? How much and how hard is it to clutch the griz

Truth be told.
My 26" ITP 589's with Type 6 rims added about 80lbs. over stock. Looks and grabs much better but I did suffer a bit of power loss.

26" 589's with type 6 ITP wheels added about 80 lbs. to my Grizzly. You will lose some power, most noticeable on long, uphill full power climbs (fast). Its a trade off for looks and traction. People here may tell you different, while others have remedies. Also one size larger in tires can mean way more than an inch. Add the depth of the lugs to the size of the tire to get a better idea of what youre getting.
