All this talk about studding... doesn't really interest me much but am curious....are titanium studs available?
A quick search for 'tintanium studs' on the internet revealed a bunch of stuff on bodypiercing

Not my thing, but you go right ahead  I think the track would fall apart long before the studs, you'd lose them on the trails...what fun is that?hehe

sure they're available for racing, not sure on trail studs (i don't believe they are for trail). we ran 240 of them in one track this summer, but at $7.50 a piece it gets kinda expensive!!!

so other than 'cost'....why wouldn't they be 'for trail'?

just the profiles of the stud that they offer right now are only "race" profiles (chisel tooth). if they made them for trail hell you could take them out of the track and run them in 2 or 3 sleds cuz unless you drove over lots of rocks and pavement they'd last probably 5 yrs.
