ive now put a couple of hundred miles on with the rear heat exchanger installed and the temp guage has never risen above 160 degrees even on miles of high speed road running with not much snow, i installed this in anticipation of the extra heat the turbo may cause but the turbo hasnt arrived yet, in the same conditions that would have turned the temp light on last year now its way cooler, just thought this may help some of you guys with temp problems, its well worth the 100 bucks for the extra cooler!

I have the Bender turbo, I never have a heating problem with the stock coolers. I never get it over 175 unless it sits idling for a long time. My sled is already heavy enough too. Glad to hear it's working for you.

scott, the heat exchanger is the one for the srx or the viper(same one) its available through yamaha at special pricing becuase the vipers ran to hot! pretty simple to install and if you need a picture i can take one no problem

Did you have to modify that exchanger at all or just install it? A picture would be great. I am looking to install one but I have a Mountain Performance 136 extension.

you need to cut a section from the inlets. They are too long to run the hoses inside the extension. They should be no longer than 16" outside dimension.
