I have been hearing that the 05 skids have to much transfer, and its even more of a problem when turbo'd. Has anyone made a fix for this yet? Seeing that the 06 apex's is almost the same I was just curious!!

Ps Mr yami there is way to many different choices on this forum now!!!! way to many specific forums!!! :o|

Transfer seems OK to me, a lot better than my 03 RX1. I can actually bottom this skid on the medium setting. No complaints here.

Ken, you know the little plastic washers that are in the transfer rods at the back end of the skid. Pull them out, install thicker ones (Like from a 97' MM) and then you can make it couple sooner. This does 2 things, 1st it helps the wheely thing and 2nd you can run the rear skid softer at the back because it borrows compresion from the front shock which in turn makes it ride even better in the small choppy $hit. The second thing you can do is install those over load round blocks that install on the side of the rails so that you can run the rear springs even softer for the small choppy stuff but when the skid starts going up into the tunnel the springs hit these blocks and the springs become way more poggresive and still don't bottom. This is the best riding sled I have ridin. Wouldn't trade it for nothing. (Well mabe a new Apex) You can make the washers for about 2 bucks with a hole saw and some UMHW and you could even build the blocks for the rails but I bought them, about 80 Bucks Canadian.

On My Vector, I would like a little more transfer. For a Yamaha it has a lot of transfer, but compared to a Doo or a Cat, it does not. I do agree with Snow Fever, this is the best riding sled I have ridden.

I you want less transfer the skid has alot of adjustment. The coolest thing is the laminated card that they give you to put in the tool box that shows how to do all the suspension adjustment. Got to love the Yamaha.

Talk to Dave at Powderlites. I'm not sure what he did, but he mentioned some fix for that problem.

I have a hard enough time keeping the front end down on my ' 03 .......I am kind of concerned about the curved up rails in the rear on the '06.

Thats kind of what I was hearing, but it sounds like Snowfever's got a fix...like he usually does!!! ;)!

Maybe huck the transfer rods and put a Holtz style airshock in there
