Togwotee trip

great pics.. i was wondering what type of camera were those taken with.. or settings.. I have a middle of the road digital canon and cant get pics to turn out like that

cannon 20d slr 70-300 lens. mostly auto sport mode. small pocket digi's cant give you those types of pics. you suffer with carrying a large body camera but the pics are worth it.

especially trips of a lifetime. hardest part is not carrying the camera, it is getting it out and using it and having others in the group use it, or a similar unit. because if your behind the lens you are not riding. and if you are not riding, you cant get pics of yourself. LOL! ski

Awesome pictures. Those picts have made will make me book a trip out there.
Any suggestions from your trip?

If your going to ride powder, I would not go less than a 144 or 153, and if you do the pagakge reserve a guide before you go, We used Noah and he did a great job. We stayed at Togwotee Mtn Lodge, and they have sleds to rent and ton of other things to do if sledding aint your cup of tea. Premium gear is a must for the powder, ie Klim.

Hello grapeape, How do you store your Canon SLR with 70-300 when you ride?

in a back pack wrapped in a towell. grape and i carry the survival gear, she (snobuny) carrys the camera gear. ski

Myself and my 72 yr. old riding partner will be staying there the first week of March. Reserved an m8 for me, he's thinking a 700 will be enough for him. I weigh 300 ressed, he is about 180 dressed. REALLY looking forward to it :jump: :jump: :jump: :jump:

maybe someday I will take the quality pictures like in the link, and then I will at least get to hold the camera, lol

Very cool pics...
