There is 10 degrees difference putting the temp sender in the vertical hose versus the horizontal hose.

Vertical hose the fan kicks on @ 190*F.

Horizontal hose the fan kicks on @ 200*F (which is when it is supposed to come on according to Yamaha specs).

Thanks for the data Alan! 10 degrees is a big difference. I am glad that I took the extra effort to put my sender in the horizontal hose per your instructions.

I mounted my kit on thre horizontal tube also, following Mr Ulmer's suggestions. But there is still value having thebgaugebatveither location I bet.
