Pick up a bag of 96 studs and then pickup a bag of 300 studs. There's probably a 8-10lb difference and that's rotating mass, which kills top end. With 300 studs on a stocker you probably lost almost 10-12mph. Way to many studs. Unless you have 300hp, you are doing nothing good for that sled. In an Apex, the most you need is 144-168. Run Woody's 1.450" stud and you won't have a problem.

cool.. 1.325's pointless??? I was told 1.4's are dangerously tall by the dealer

I ran 1.4's bottomed out the Zx2 3 times with the larger 8" rear wheel and never hit the tunnel or front heat exchanger. Some guys even run 1.45" without issue.

Before changing my suspension and track, I took a pic under my sled to show stud scrape marks on exhaust and aluminum brace. Although you can’t notice all the scrapes on the aluminum cross piece, but you can see the scrapes that caused a dent on my pipe. This was with the stock track with woodies 1.325 up the center. Probably would work fine with longer studs if you don't ride hard, but I definitely would not chance longer studs for me.

Hey Mach: What's all that smoke around your Apex - are you hiding a 2-stroke under that hood of yours??

Same set-up here. Best studs & backers available IMO.

i was just going to tell all tyer's how good of a job you do on your powder coating, but if you don't agree with i won't tell them. just kidding i bet i weigh a lot more then you. once again brian does a great job, and he ships back with great care. you all have a safe summer.
