True. That 'sticky' snow in the warmer temps really takes a lot off the top end. The warmer less dense air might be robbing you of a few HP as well.

Snow conditions make all the difference.
My sled with run 124-125MPH (200kph) on a plowed road, but only 104-109MPH (167-175kph) on a groomed trail (across a long field) in the same outside conditions.

Check your sparkplug tips to make sure they're not all grooved up. Next check sparkplug caps to make sure they're not arcing. If all is well pray for colder weather.

Thanks guys I'll be checking the plugs before I ride today. Its -15c needles set at clip #4 with k&n filter kit. Like I said most of my riding was with temps in the -15/20c range most of last year. I'll post back on the condition of my plugs.

Pulled the plugs out all were cardboard color with a slight tint off white on the very end of centre electrode. Temp out side w/windchill was -15c, had a hard time to see. Snowing like he*# out got it up to 162-164 km with little throttle left. belts only has 500 km's, proper belt deflection backshifting good, upshifting good, pulls hard 0-125 km's, stretches the arms out from corner to corner. New bearings, allwheels are free but only have 2000 km's on a new pair of slide added extra wheel kit and the fourth wheel kit on rear axle. Engine starts great, hot or cold and Idles great. Track set at 21lbs. Anyother tips would be great, again awsome site.

Have you cleaned/serviced the clutches recently? They could be worn and/or dirty.

What rpms are you pulling? If your rpms are lower than before check your airbox is properly on the carbs. I didn't beleive that when the carb boots to the air box came off that I lost 1000 rpm and about 30 km/h
