top speed rs nytro

amsnow.com "real world test" 90.64mph check it out in their archives...some good reading, they liked the sled a lot...your bud should like the sled it pulls corner to corner as well as anything out there. If he wanted to win races on lakes he's in the wrong HP class anyway?

Is that true top end speed on a broken-in engine? Mine pulled 104mph after it had only 150 miles on the engine, and that was on a rather average trail. I would almost have to believe that 104 on the speedo is greater than 90mph on radar. When it had only 40 miles on it, I still saw 98mph on the speedo. At the end of last year I was seeing 108mph on an average trail, and that was when my sled was over-reving by at least 400rpm. I am guessing I could hit 112-115 on the speedo on a good road now that my clutching is more dialed in, which should be over 100mph on radar.

speedo

I saw 114 on the dream-o-meter last year on a hard packed trail. Running against my buddies FX-Nytro.

Well ok, let me rephrase that. "Chasing my buddies FX-Nytro"

Like earlier stated these sleds are no lake racer or top end high speed runner.

I imagine they run the sleds quite a bit before they start radar runs? I'm not a big believer in the "they wake up after 1000 miles" theory....My Warrior didn't seem to?

Keep in mind that the Nytro is geared down just a little (21 tooth up top)

Right. The 05-07 Vector is right around 100 +/- true mph stock. Heard of some going about 105. Speedos always read high. The Nytro should be slightly less due to the gearing. Who cares? You don't buy a Nytro for lake racing, and it will sure feel fast becaust it hits 80 mph in no time flat. Want top speed, tell him to buy an Apex. Otherwise enjoy the Nytro on the trails.

maybe 92 real world but like everyone else has said, you don't buy the Nytro to be the fastest on the lake, but take my word for it, there aren't many that will catch him corner to corner. And out of the hole, one of the quickest , hardest pulling stock sled. He wants lake speed- go apex

Real world I've seen about 95 on the dream-meter. Like mentioned they aren't lake racers ... on the trails are where they shine. Lots of trail grunt.

I was bangin out 116 on the dream-o-meter last year.

Actually read 98 on GPS. I have and Ulmer stage 3 clutch and some other small mods. Oh oh... but i do have this sweet decal on it which the manufacturer told me adds +40 hp. I can totally feel it!!! ha ha ha

Wow, a 116 speedo reading is only 98 mph on gps!

I guess my Vec has never actually topped more than around 92 mph since the highest speedo reading I saw last year was only 108.
