What kind of track speed do you see on a powder climb 2XM3? Just curious how well a l/w apex can do.

For comparison with 9ish pounds of boost at elevation with my stage 1 kit I'm seeing 62+/- mph. On the trail I see well in excess of 100mph on the dream meter before I start to worry about my scratchers breaking or my track falling apart.

Right now I'm pretty frustrated with my sled. I have got to find a way to make it handle better. Ironically I think my improved clutching has made it so responsive that my old trick of grabbing a handful of throttle is actually hurting me. If I am standing with both feet on one side of the tunnel and I hit a bump while sidehilling I go on quite the wild ride.

tomorrow we will ride a nice area that has some good pulls, I will let her rip and post track speed......there is no way I am near 62, my guess is 45ish, but we will see......

I assume you took the swaybar out and low pressure on the shocks? Simmons gen 2 helped a lot on the bucking bronco sidehill deal....and I have found that you better be sure to have a good amount of powder under you to geta good "dig" at the start

I run Hauck weights, black pink black primary spring, black secondary twisted to 100, 19-42 gears, dual angle shockwave about 1-3/4 turns out, 8DN belt and I see 49MPH solid on steep deep climbs with the Maverick. If you see 45 that's damn impressive considering the weight & length of that track, I bet I could gain 5MPH with a lower gear and running the PowerClaw which is lighter and easier to turn....HMMMM.....still wondering if I should go Powerclaw or C.E. in the 15" width, so hard to know. :o| :drink:

ummm, maybe I will not see 45,could be optimistic guess if you pull 49 with maverick, tomorrow will tell if I can find some nice snow.....

this is honest dreamometer reading climbing a 600 foot hill i seen 52 mph track speed on my bone stock apex. my buddy on his 09 rmk 800 163 was seeing 62mph track speed on the same hill he is a clutching guru and is constintly tinkering with his clutching. the rmk out climbed me everywhere we climbed today i figure he is atleast 100 pounds lighter then my sled. but he has already had to put pistons in his 2 stroke and he only has 300ish miles on it :4STroke: and we had about 2 feet of light and fluffy today aswell :Rockon:and a few more feet on the way tonight

Arrrr...no luck yesterday snow was rock hard, could go most anywhere at 1/2 throttle, headin north this weekend, maybe a good test if i'm lucky......

WooHoo, got some good climbs in in good snow, so heres the tale of the tape,

1) steep cllimb, maybe 1 foot loose snow, 51 mph track speed

2) really steep climb, 1 foot loose, 42 mph track speed.

So there it is, the low gear will pull the 174, but more power is needed, boost time

I was out with the prairie boys on the weekend and squeezed a 107 mph with nos on my apex 162!!! I looked down to look and my helmet visor came down... then i looked up and the ****ing thing broke off!! thats too damn fast!! but when i checked gps later it had a top speed of 98mph, so speedos a little off! that will be the last time i need to see how fast it goes, wasn't that much fun. Oh ya and new camo extreme 2.5 on there too!!
