Torn Track

Looks like on the last ride I bottomed out and tore out a stud on the outer belt. There is a hole in the shield above the rear idler where a stud punched it. The backer plate then ripped the belt. I bought the sled used with a Camoplast 1.25 track and outer drivers (?). My questions are: do I need to get another Camoplast or will a Ripsaw work? Woud you stud the outside belt?

Around here there is a few guys who fix rubber tracks and garantee it not to break in the same spot.

$50 bucks a rip

I dont think you tore the stud from botteming but from hitting dirt when you landed.

It's how I tore mine out I have a spare track of a 2003 rx-1 with a rip that I am going to have fixed someting and sell it.

Ripsaw *IS* a camoplast. Model number 9921, 9922, 9923, and 9924 for 121, 136, 144, and 151 inch. Don't stud the outside because it is more likely to cause damage that you can't drive home from. At least with a center stud tear-out you are more likely to be able to keep driving.
