I over rode my tors on my 2007 vk yesterday, but its still kicking in and showing code 84. I'm not sure where to go from here? I start the machine, let it warm up until the red light goes off. When i go ahead the tors activates and the sled stops. I am able to give it small shots of throttle and it barely advances. This goes on for 5 minutes and it gradually goes away. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I've seen problems with TORS that were the result of a bad battery.

It turns over really well. But ill defenatly check the battery tomorrow. One thing I found odd about the vk is when I turn the key to the on position the cluster doesn't come on. My attak cluster will. Thanks

Haven't started my Viking in a while but I don't think the cluster comes on like the attack-I have an Apex Mtn.

Check that the throttle cable is moving freely and has no slack. Even slight back pressure will set it off. I had a tough time getting my goldfinger to work properly due to cable pressure and was worse at start up.

Thanks Joner. Where you having trouble with your goldfinger even when you bypassed the tors? I checked my battery yesterday. it was at 11 volts and 13 with the machine running. I loosened the throttle cable. I also checked the spark plugs. They seemed alright but there was alot of carbon build up on them. I didn't get to try it yet because it only does it when the sled is cold and I had it in my heated garage. I will try it this morning.

I put on 100 km today. I left the truck it ran fine. 2 km down the road the tors kicked in. I stopped and it went off. I was able to do the next 80 problem free. On the way home I was driving 60 kph and the tors kicked in. I would stop and feather the throttle and it would go away. This happened every km for about 15 km.

A battery should be about 12.3 volt with no load and up to 14.5 volts while
charging ... the gap is about right and it may be your meter ?? upper volt varies on
brand etc but a standing battery should be 12.2 to 12.5 volts..
theory being 2.1 volt per cell
