I flat landed a knoll in the trail today. The landing was hard enough to send the bars down to the tank, and break one of the sway bar guides off.

Now, I have a vibration over 45 mph. I can feel it through my feet and the seat. Any thoughts on where to start looking? I just washed all the ice off the rear skid and nothing appears to be broken. The track has 3/4" or so sticking out beyond the rear wheel on one side, and 3/8" on the other. I'm not sure if that would cause the vibration? Maybe the tri-hub is getting ready to crap out?

Is it possible the driveshaft bent?

I have seen one drive shaft bend on a Procross chassis, but he was using oversize drivers. The Tri-hub is the easiest place to start.

If you're ever on 14/66c in Brookfield, watch out. There is one hell of a drop off if you are heading south.

Also check your track drive sprockets. I landed on a rock jumping over a hill hard and had a vibration over 30 mph. It bent one of the drive sprockets and cracked the drive shaft between the two drive sprockets (didn’t see the crack in the drive shaft during the repair) and the drive shaft snapped in half the next year and also cracked the inner half of the chain case. So really look over everything in there

Either bent shaft or deformed driver or both. Either way new shaft easiest answer

Good time to do the Frank's drive bearing update if the shaft is bent........

What would be the best way to check the driveshaft? Run it on a stand and see the the brake rotor wobbles? Or see if I can notice the shaft wobbling?

I'm still planning on checking the tri-hub area first.

How easy was it to notice the bent sprocket?

It took me awhile to find it but I didn’t know what I was looking for. Then I noticed the two sprockets didn’t line up to each other in one spot. It was off by about an inch

So, a rinsed my rear skid last night. Got home from work and checked it all out. Everything looked good including the drivers. I jacked it up, and the track was crazy loose. Like an inch and a half of sag with no weights. I tightened it up, and then ran it up to 60 on the jack stand with the side panel off. No visible wobble in the secondary or brake disk. I loaded it up. I got on the trail and the vibration was gone. I put about 15 miles on, including some high speed runs. By the time I got back to the truck I had almost 20 miles, and the vibration felt like it was coming back.

I'm wondering if its the tri-hub or maybe a bad tensioner, or both?

I'll have to rinse it off again. Its full of snow and ice.

I just replaced bent trackshaft on a 2019 TCat. Sled landed on some rocks coming across a drainage ditch. When I put it in my lathe, it was bent at least 1/2" from one end to other. Owner said he felt serious vibration in running boards and needed a mouth guard to ride it. Lol
