I have a Larson. I believe that they have never had one fail during racing. The factory one is pure #*$&@ and its not the bearings. If you have it apart feel how chincy it is when you flex it.

Had the tri hub bolt break on my 15 XTX. Track caught the exhaust side rail and bent it into my tunnel.
Ripped the tunnel, cut the track and exploded the skid. Happened going 25 mph on a flat trail. 1500 miles and out of warranty.

Looks like you are so lucky you were not getting on it when that happened. I went with the JT option but I am looking for the Larson kit.
