Hi
Do any of you has any info regarding track angle of attack (AOA)between these models? Is the crossover XTX any better than the short ones in this respect? If building my own crossover from a short Nytro, would it actually outperform the XTX in the loose especially if i go with Hartmans skid relocation kit for less AOA?
Regards Fredrik

The shorty with the Hartman relocation works REAL well in the loose, but on the trail it tends to be a bear to steer with the added front weight due to the relocation. The other thing with the relocation is the hookup outta the hole is terrible even with the blocks out, no comparison to the stock . My Ulmer 1 piece rail kit kit worked extremly well in the mountains this year and hooked HARD outta the hole for drag racing as some on this forum can attest to.

the angle of the xtx is supposed to be shallower then standard nytros, according to the yamaha brochures anyway. How it compares to the angle of the mtx I do not know.
TOPGUN, Did you lose alot of top end speed switching over to 144 with that big track??

I think the angle is similar to the mtx. Yup, I lost 5 mph but got there much quicker.justinator said:the angle of the xtx is supposed to be shallower then standard nytros, according to the yamaha brochures anyway. How it compares to the angle of the mtx I do not know.

One thing I like about building your own cross over sled is the suspension
on the short track is a much better suspension that's on the xtx.
the xtx uses the old style suspension with the sliding tubes on the rear while the nytro rtx has the new suspension, far superior.
I would just make sure what ever rail extension you buy they have the 6 degree tip up on the rear.

I believe my rails have a 2 degree kickup. As far as seat of the pants it seems the same for cornering as it did before when it was a shory other then it hooks twice as hard

Any kickup on the rail is good, gives you that short track feeling.
