Track drive axle bearing gone at 4925 miles

I needle grease mine at the beginning of every year.. Almost 4000 miles on the OE one..

Guys who ride on normal snow and leave sled
in the cold all winter will get many more miles
on bearings than guys who thaw or deice their sleds.

Moisture and rust will build much faster on bearings
that are in wheels on sleds that are kept in heated
storage.

Water skipping also affects how long grease will
last and will rust your bearings much faster.

Re packing bearings can be done cheaply but
has to be done after each season. Press is required
to make the process go smoothly.

Bearings are cheap and can be purchased and
installed real fast also !

Heated storage and two (2) years is about right
for bearing replacement on suspension wheels
and three years on jack and drive shaft bearings.

Cheap insurance for a short season boys !!!!!!!

I pop the plastic shields off. Clean out the dirt then re-grease by hand and then snap the shields back on. If the bearing doesn't feel good after all that then I replace it.
