track recommendations

Research on ice ripper is that the carbide tips are holding up very well and that no one has had an issues with wear ?

Anyone want to comment with miles on this track ?

Studs molded in to the rubber should prevent pre-mature track failures right ?

I am very interested in how the prestudded tracks are 1. performing, and 2, holding up. The only real problem I see is that I cannot replace a worn or broken stud tip if I wanted to. But if they hold up better because of the fully surrounded shank then maybe it doesn't matter.

I wouldn't buy ice ripper, My buddy had pulled a few of the stud heads from the track and ended up just studding the track anyway worked great but it blew up yesterday. must have ripped on the outside with dbl backers and caught the tunnel protecter and just ripped half the track on the outside off. We were doing 100mph at the time on piston alley in NB , track locked and came to real quick stop. The ice ripper is also thinner, maybe fine I wouldn't stud it , only 1000 miles on it

Decisions, decisions! $500 decisions suck, nevermind the labor & down time. I think they all work well, just trying to find what will work for me. I'm leaning fully clipped 1" Predator. I'll sacrifice a little on start for top end & longevity. 2 more days until purchase so keep it coming...

After reading KnappAttack's posts i've brought the Ice Ripper back in the game. I always end up installing 96 studs down middle anyways; more for safety & iced up conditions. Keep'em coming boys! No small investment here...

I have 1200miles on my ICERIPPER in VERY cold low snow and fast speed and the track is perfect no studs missing and no wear...in the same period I did wear out the stock ski carbides...

Doing a 1000mile trip this week and I'll report back....but so far I love this track

4 pounds is less than negligible. Hacksaw is the same idea as ripjunk, for the sake of convenience, call it a 1" ripjunk. Too soft, too flimsy, no traction when there's snow.

He Lazy, you make the test with the two different tracks, the Hacksaw and the Predator???

You find the Predator better in the snow??

And for the slides on our suspensions, the track give a good lubrification??

My iceripper is junk and only at 1500 miles no studs and great snow conditions etc very unhappy with it and camo wouldnt do anything for me when i find my camera cord i will post pics

post a pic of the studs gone, i got to see this

Ive got over 7000 miles on my ripsaw.. But i did replace all the track clips at 4300 miles.. but that has more to do with the slide wear than anything.

I am highly intersted in getting a COBRA track for next year.. Looks awsome and very aggressive

next track is going to be a 1" predator, hard track, less flex with studs

I have to buy a track this monday.

A cobra 1.352 po. or a Hacksaw 1 po. or a Predator (Carve now!) 1 po.

Why you prefer the Predator???

the studs are ok its the lugs were just broke off flush with track all on 1 side basically

i prefer the predator cause RockerDan has posted his results from day one that he has had it on there and the 1" fully clipped predator seems to be the way to go if you are going to stud it and be able to get top speed, the predator seems to be alot harder so the studs won't flex as much, better hook up
