Went out riding last night and my track started to ratchet on my 03 RX1. I came to a stop and noticed that my track tension collar was broken. The collar was still there, but the threaded rod, washer, and nut were missing. I run my track to the loose side. Has anyone else had this problem. This is the second tensioner that I have broke in 4 years of owning this sled. The suspension is the proaction extended to 136".

if you break an axle the bolts can break quite easily. is it an actual pro-action skid? ie> from a warrior? or an aftermarket kit?

I have the same setup with about 3500 miles on it and I have never broken one. Maybe the offset on the track was too tight on that side or too sloppy and it stressed it out.

There is ZERO OPERATING STRESS on those parts. You can only break them under two conditions;
1) You broke the shaft.
2) You didn't tighten the shaft.
Since you claim that the shaft isn't broken, it must have been loose. Both times.

I tightened the axle nut to 54 ft lbs as stated in the owners manual. Maybe the nut needs to be replaced.
