you need to take this issue to the dealer along with your VIN number and get your problems registered.......
On another note, I have not seen any problems on my 05 or my or short track monos, so other then what I have stated above, I cant help you any further.

If you have a new sled and it really bothers you take it into your dealer and have him call Yamaha on it. I have 7500 on mine with the pit marks and i plan on another 3-5 thousand more before i replace it I have never owned a sled with half the miles i have on this one so i'm not sure how many miles a track should last but as long as it does'nt hurt anything i'm not going to worry about it!

I have very minor wear on the track & shock, I'm not bothering to go to my dealer with it or Yamaha, because it's not a big deal to me, but I will purchase the track rub deal thing through Ulmer, just so I know it wont rub anymore then what it has.

- None, looking now!
I had the same thing. Yamaha replaced my track and shock plus paid the labor. Mine was really bad, and I had 192 studs in it. I also snapped the transfer rod in half and Yamaha replaced that also. ( $300.00 for that alone. )Just have your dealer send it in. My dealer is pretty cool, as I've done alot of bussiness there. This year, I am putting in the Attack 136 skid on my RTX. That skid has two little wear pads that the track hits rather than the shock tower. The '06 121" do not have this, but on here somewhere I read someone is fabing one up.

Track Rub
I have some rub marks on my Apex with 1400 miles, nothing serious yet.
Had the dealer look at it on two different occasions-said other sleds look the same-guessed it was normal.
Called Yamaha, told there is NO problem as far as thery're concerned.
I have never experienced any track wear on the inside of a track on other sleds!!
Something is evidently not right with this issue. What to do? Guess I'll check out Ulmer's kit seeing Yamaha isn't willing to step up.

does this seem to be just a GT/RTX problem. I have a Apex ER with 4,000 miles and no wear. Yes all sleds bottom out on occassions otherwise your suspension is too stiff. I would go with the ice theory. I always clear my track at the end of the day.

Track Rub
I'd say it's an issue with the 121" length track sleds. Consider yourself lucky Apex21 as I have a ER with a few rub spots-nothing serious at this point, but still something I consider unacceptable. (Only 1400 miles)
It doesn't have anything to do with studs in case anyone asks as I don't have any in my track.
Ulmer's has a nice "fix" for $25. A simple bolt-on which should eliminate track contact with the shock.
