TRACK WENT FROM 1 INCH TO 1.25 08 TO 09

JUST GOT MY 08.. FIRST THING I FELT WAS THE TRACK NOT GRABING ENOUGH..
WAS THINKING ABOUT 1.25 OR 1.5..
THEN I SEE THE 09 IS A 1.25 NOW.....
THINK YAMAHA WILL SWAP THEM OUT ??
HELL MINE IS NEW !!
AND WHILE THEY ARE AT IT HOW ABOUT THE TUNNEL BLOCKING PLATE !

where are u geting that info? they all say 14x1x121 on the yamaha site. only one with a 1.25 is the venture light and thats a 144

GOT IT FROM THE 09 BROCHOURE.
LOOK AT THE 08 BROCHOURE THEN THE 09

MY DEALER DIDNT EVEN KNOW...
THEY DIDNT EVEN MENTION IT IN THE YAMAHA SHOW IN ALBANY NY.
I'M SURPRISED NO ONE ELSE IS REALLY HAVING ANY COMPLAINTS WITH THE 1 INCH... AND FOR YAMAHA TO SWITCH IT TO THE 1.25......

THE FIRST DAY I RODE IT I FELT IT WAS NOT THE RIGHT TRACK FOR ME..

may be a miss print dont get too excited might be a misprint. the web site still list 1 inch tracks. the polaris brochure says the 600 shift is lighter then the 550 fan by 13 lbs which is imposible and just a miss print.

Well if you look a little closer at the 09 brochure they also list the Nytro XTX and all the LTX models with a 15x121x1.25 track also. Guess they just got hung up on that track size!!!

I wouldnt even bother with the 1.25". I would highly recommend the 1.5" ( I wish I would have went with a 1.7"x 136") freeride track. Works great on the hard pack trail and helps bunches in the POW! I ripped-off my stock track in the first 500 miles. Between closing the rear tunnel and changing the track was the best single investment I made for my sled.

And I didnt lose any speed. Still runs about 85MPH on the dream meter going down the trail.

If Yamaha would wake up and make the RTX a 136" with a stock 1.5" track they could sell more of these. Leave the base Phazer and the GT short trail tracks, but make the ditchbanger more of a crossover sled. It just doenst make much sense to me to have 3 units so similiar, except for gearing and some supension upgrades.
