What's everyone using for traction mats? The trailer I purchased has them, but they are junky, not attached well and are falling apart.
I was looking at the Caliber Trax Grabber or the Superclamp Super Traction Grids.
This would be for a 2 place enclosed clamshell.

Honestly, an old track can be picked up for free, and works as good as anything. If you have one of these tool liquidation places, or hardware liquidators, belting is a good option too.
Old tracks provide stud protection, traction, and are the perfect width. AND FREE.

I used some stall mats purchased at Tractor supply. They are heavy though. They cut easy with a Sawzall. Also an old bed liner works well for ski guides.

The ski glides are great, just the traction mats are failing.
I had these on my old trailer and they sucked:

I take old hyfax and cut into 12-15" lengths and screw them down. Works great.

I have been using this for years. I have an advantage because I work for a Belting co. Follow the link listed and find a distributor close to you and buy some 150# Black Crescent top belting . Most stock this and its economical in price . You should be able to get it any width and length you want . It's a low profile but I have never had a problem in 26 years of using it .

If I ever have to redo mine I'll do as mentioned above an old track you can get for free and it probably will out live the trailer?

That idea is money! I often wondered what to do with that stuff.
I too have a Triton clamshell, and I think the grids were a triton option. After enough years, the grids start to break off. But they still work well. But I do like the hyfax idea.
