trail side belt change

Not sure what people are complaining about. Yamaha has by far, the easiest secondary to remove a belt from, hands down. lock on the park brake and push backward and in with one hand, while holding down with one finger on the belt.

I used to remove mine for fun when my friend would have to remove his skidoo belt, just to prove a point.

A word of caution to you noobs to yamaha. remove that helix and take a file to it. It will have many sharp edges and will ruin a good pair of gloves or slice your hands without even noticing. You can do it on the sled as well.

Ya,not to mention if you ever blow a belt, just remove all three nuts pull the helix and outside sheeve, and belt threads come right off,try that with any compression secondary.

watched a sales guy at a dealership demonstrate how to change a belt ,he held the brake with one hand then pushed in and around with his foot and belt dropped right to the bottom of secondary.
I tried this when i got home and even with the purple secondary spring it was very easy

Although different than what I am used to I agree the belt is still very easy to get off even with cover on.
