I live in Ottawa Ontario and I see all sorts of trails for sleds to ride on. Why are the trails exlusive to sleds? Most years the trails are only open for a couple of weeks with good conditions for sleds. I think that there should be a Quad trail system too. There would be a lot more use from quads over an entire season than there is now for sleds. In Quebec there are Quad trails and they get used over the entire winter season, unlike sleds.

i do not know why they will not do this. i would not object to having a trail pass for my atv as well and the trails would be in better shape for the sleds come winter. there must be a legal reason for it and the fact that some people might regard it as a year-round pass and take their quads out on the trails in the winter. i know it pisses me off when someone does that as the skis want to follow the damn ruts.

Not an easy task, as the Ottawa area snowmobile trails are on 80% private property and mostly farm land.

I LIVE IN MAINE,AND ALMOST ALL OF OUR TRAILS ARE DUAL USE,WHEN IT SNOWS THE SLEDS HAVE THE TRAIL,RAIN SEASON(MUD SEASON) NOBODY HAS THE TRAIL AND SUMMER TIME IS ATV AND DIRT BIKE.MOST OF OUR TRAILS ARE GROOMED AND MAINTAINED BY THE TRAIL RIDERS CLUBS AND MOSTLY ON PRIVATE LAND...YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE A MEMBER TO RIDE THE TRAILS,BUT YOU ARE ONLY HELPING YOURSELF WITH DONATIONS.

I had a wolvy like that myself. I put a pipe, air filter and rejetted the carb to add more power but still no wheelie from a standing start. You can do it but you have to get creative. I also had the warn 424. That was the best thing I did to it. I know Mr Sled did more than that to his, maybe he'll chime in on this.
