My O-rings from seth came today. Tonight I will replace the thinner ones and adjustmy float so the low fuel light will work.

I have an MTX and just mounted my black trail tank(last years model). The fit with the extra coolant line is not too bad. I loosened the four bolts holding the upper aluminum frame, shoved the tank all the way forward and then tightened the bolts. The plastic doesn't all line up perfectly but it's not too bad.

Now we need a Trail Tank for us midmount turbo guys...please!

rumor has it, that molds were made, and the first ones are set to be at teh mid mount turbo shop Friday...So will report findings then...

Nikolai; Trim the wings off on the Centre panel and it will look alot better. I'll take pics of mine tonight and post them. Fit and finish is not perfect, but the extra gas is way better than carrying a jerry can.

This is what I heard as well, but I'm waiting on some confirmation.

The factory sides do not go back on any of the FX Nytro models.
Keep in mind the original tank molds were designed for the short tracks, which would produce a much better fit than what is shown above on the MTX.
There is a coolant hose preventing the tank from the original mold to fit properly on the MTX. A new mold for the MTX should be available soon.

Just the tab at the bottom that would slide into the original tank cover.

If you are talking about the tank covers, no they do not go back on, the fuel tank is exposed.
I'm working on some better fasteners to hold the hood and rear of the side panels. The stuff from Trail Tank works, but it is a bit cumbersome....
