Sorry but your actually wrong as Winnipeg is not the mosquito capital of the north. There really is a small town northwest of Winnipeg that has claim to that title. They even have a giant mosquito replica made out of fiberglass I belive. The name of that small town is Komarno!

It's hard to find Komarno on a map, & Winnipeg is the capital, much easier to locate & relate to.
