Transfer Rod Seized

Took sled in to have clip moved to center position on rear shock and check ski alignment. They found the transfer ro was seized and could not be adjusted in either direction, since this is Mighty's old sled may have a warranty hassle. Any ideas?

While there they found the ski alignment was set at 1" toe out, laughed at U.S. PDI. No wonder the Slydog skis were even darting a little.

I seem to remember reading from folks here that the transfer rod was extremely tight from the factory, giving the impression that it is seized, but it is just very tight.

Were they able to break the lock collar loose?

Lock collar no problem but the inner will not move even on a vice. They feel at assembly may have gotten something caught in threads that caused it to bind and seize. I don't think Mighty ever adjusted as was still in stock position and will not move in either direction. I have call into Michigam dealer and my dealer is calling Yamaha Canada. The parts are near $500 as it does not come as an assembly.

The Michigan dealer did not have nice comments about the Transfer Rod design.

I know alot of them are bending if you adjust beyond max transfer.

Hmmmm, maybe that's why I couldn't get any ski lift..........I did adjust it after the Muni Ride and tried it out behind my house and found no difference so I put it back to the stock setting after reading a post from Turk saying he bent his.

They thought about it for all of 10 seconds. Going to see if Michigan dealer will send parts and I reurn bad parts, only 10 minute labour job which I will pay my Canadian dealer for. With all this snow would hate to have downtime.
