Wondering if anyone has removed the stock tri hub and just run the outer 4th wheel kit on their sled? Is it necessary to keep the plastic tri hub wheels after installing the outer 4th wheel kit?
Yes it is. Nothing to bolt too then.

I was wondering if I could just put the iner shaft without the wheels. I could still bolt to the shaft.

Just get a complete 4 wheel kit, as the 2 outer add on wheel kits are just a bandaid, seen plenty snap off with the trihub in place.

That is one area no to cheap out, I run and recommend the jt 2 or 4 wheel replacement, their also a site sponsor

I noticed that Travis at BOP has a new solid axle 4 wheel kit on his website for the Viper and SW.

Get the JT kit. Works great and it is very good quality. I would also swap out the axle track adjusters with the billet style while your in there anyway.

Or get the Larson 4 wheel kit, it comes with the track adjusters. The Larson kit also moves the adjusters to the outside of the rails.

I like the way Travis designed his kit as it allows you to use the existing wheels that you already have. The long bolt would be the same setup as the Japan Yamaha sleds.
