Tricks to removing snow from a clamshell trailer

I have been using a shovel. I was thinking about getting a snow broom. What does everybody use?

x2 roof rake. Just got one and I should of got one years ago. So much easier.

Roof rake is the best . Just take a pc of CPVC pipe and cut it the length of the blade . Next take a thin kerf Circular saw blade and cut a slit in the pipe and Insert the pipe on the end of the Roof rake . This protects your painted surface from the Aluminum metal on the blade.

Mine has a plastic blade, no need to cover, but I agree on covering the aluminum ones. Oh, and be careful if you have a roof vent on the trailer.....

Bring it to upstate NY. Snow melts completely a few days after it falls. 57 yesterday.

1. Hook your truck to the trailer.
2. Drive down the road until all the snow blows off.
3. Stop at trailer dealer on the way home and trade it in for a hybrid.

For light snow I use a wide push broom but heavy stuff a roof rake with a strip of rubber screwed to the edge does the trick.My shell has screws all over the top and the rubber helps the edge not get snagged on them,otherwise it's a fight with the constant hooking of the screws.
