Trying to get the drive axle out

Yeah I got the drive axle out without taking the top gear of and the whole chain case. I just kept getting stuck on the track with the drive cogs. I can understand taking all that off for the jackshaft, but not the dive shaft. once I got it free from the track it went pop and out it went like the day I put it in.
