Looking for comment's and experience with doing a straight pipe tunnel dump over the track.
My muffler is garbage and been repaired too many time's, noise is not a factor.
It was recommended to me to just direct the pipe off the turbo straight down into the tunnel and to cut it slightly below the bulkhead over the track. I'm afraid of possible track damage from the heat.
The other option is to run the pipe toward's the back above the track and dumping it under the tunnel. But i'm concern about it getting plugged in heavy deep snow, as the 2.5" lugs will push the snow toward's the outlet.
My understanding is alot of guy's are doing the tunnel dump over the track.

That's a nice setup, i have a front mount so a little different.tjc said:I have a small muffler with a tunnel dump. No issues so far.
Just finnished setting up the exhaust, no muffler and straight from the turbo a 2 1/2" pipe about 12" long going straight down through the bulkhead behind the jackshaft. It dumps on top of the track.

I realize this post is a few years old but I was just wondering what the outcome was with dumping the exhaust directly on the track? I'm moving my rear mount turbo up to the front this year and I'm trying to weigh my options.
Thanks
Brad
