anyone riding the new viper notice snow being thrown up from the rear of the track. are the tunnel flares needed on all size tracks? i rode my buddies 1100t cat with the 144 and it threw snow right into my back. sure track length matters.

Tunnel Flares

I ordered them and they are presently on back-order until the end of December. A friend spent a lot of time on demo rides in the UP and said the Yamaha rep highly recommended two add-on's.

Tunnel flares

Front Sport Bumper

well i have both. the bumper is painted white and is on. i have the flares and painted them white to but now installed yet, started this post to see if they were needed. i guess so. ordered the flares when i picked up the sled tue before thanksgiving and they where in three days later. must have run out but sure the cat ones would fit to should be some on shelves somewhere.

Arctic Cat Tunnel Flares

Cat Country has them in stock for $59.99 Part #5639-809 (Black). Just want to verify that these will fit VIPER XTX

not sure they should fit might want to check the part number for the zr 7000 flares they are the same tunnel for sure. the yamaha number is sma-8jptn-fl-bk. no number or any printing on the actual flares just the packaging. country cat is where i got my windshield. white stock off of the zr7000 sno pro, fit hole for hole. and in 3 days.

They fit all Cat models including the 7000 series.

Wow that's very interesting, they must be new this year, when ever I take my saddle bags off,i keep getting hiy with snow balls like chunks, maybe this will eliminate this.

no part numbers on the flares, available from cat and not yamaha must be a packaging and shipping issue!

Port Yamaha has them in stock $59 and change!

anyone running the 4 wheel kits in the rear noticing snow problems or do the outside wheels prevent the track from throwing snow? if so this would be a better fix. more traction and no snow in your back.
