While driving the prototypes last season, everytime I would take a corner I would get hit in the helmet and shoulder....I was laughing at myself because I didn't think there would be anyone in the deep woods throwing snowballs at me 
Didn't have a problem with wet pants or snow on the seat so I didn't think about ordering them.

Are these aluminum or plastic? If painting alum would probably be better. Would like blue one but I'm told there are none.

Plastic. You will be able to get them in blue but they look to be backordered until the end of December. You can get white or black ones from Cat Country. The cat ones will definitely fit

Thanks, didn't realize there even was a delivery date. Have already purchased front bumper, 4th wheel kit and shock covers from Country Cat, maybe white flares will do. Cat dealers must be loving this where Yamaha has no parts.
Flares
Just mounted the tunnel flares on my Viper...Used the AC flares as the dealer didn't have Yamaha ones on hand and they fit perfectly on the Viper
