Tunnel protectors for a sidewinder

best protection Ive found is from Darren at Supreme Tool STM powersports....modular and can work with or without the factory rear heat exchangers...front guards help protect cooler hose

Hey SJ - I'm trying to visualize it, so the polymer "slider" slides up past the front of the front channel and sticks out over the hose?

And it still rubs like that? Probably when you get out of it it balloons.
Yeah they all do.....I really did not do much speed running either last season, mostly trail riding. Ive been looking closely at this as Im waiting for the coolant protector from Travis, and have my concerns about lugs hitting edge of it.

Don was the guy who showed pics of his setup with sliders. SJ i think is talking about "full length" protectors from STM.http://www.stmpowersports.com/arcti...amaha-sidewinder-rear-tunnel-protectors-only/

Don used sliders, as there is a lip on both sides of the coolant runner, and was able to slide them up, over coolant hose....
