Hi guys, I would like to remove the tunnel protectors and 3 reflectors on the back side of the tunnel. I will be replacing the rivets drilled out with new rivets. Can these rivets be pulled by hand (which I have) or do I need an air/hydraulic puller to do these?
Thanks
Thanks

Why not just leave the holes empty?
And you can either use a pneumatic or hand rivet gun to install the rivets.

I may be able to leave the holes for the tunnel protectors, the rivets used to hold 2 of the reflectors in the back hold together separate pieces of the tunnel

The Yamaha rivets can be done by hand.

Thanks for the responses guys. Anyone removed the tunnel protectors? I was going to do it last night but once i got the gas tank out it appears as though there is a heat shield under the exhaust that is riveted to the tunnel that is blocking access to the front rivets on the protectors. Any advice?

Yeah I have, pretty crued way of doing it but take a crescent wrench and work them back in forth. It will pop out the rivets. You can get to the back ones and drill them.

Ripping the front rivets out usually distorts the front of the tunnel under the heat shield. I usually just use a cut off wheel on a die grinder and cut the protect off as far forward as possible. No one reinstalls the protectors anyways. The heat held under the manifolds is actually riveted in when the engine is not installed yet. It s impossible to re rivet the lower heat sheld as you cannot get squarely on the rivet due to the cylinder head being in the way.
