So I'm looking through the documentation that came with the MPI trail turbo kit. The pages that came with the EABC says that it maintains 5 psi at sea level and it is not uncommon to see it go to 8 psi at higher elevations. At the same time in the install instructions for the turbo it lists fuel requirements and states that 5 psi needs 50/50 premium/race gas at sea level. Is everyone running turbo kits on the trail with stock internals and 5 psi carrying race gas to mix with premium when they stop to fuel up? This seems pretty unrealistic considering I know a lot of people run 250+ miles per day. To do this you would have to carry around 10 gallons of race fuel......

I heard that with any of the turbo kits 91 octane should be fine at 5 psi.

For alittle precaution I started mine off with a 1/1 blend of race gas 101 and our super 90 octane and I could not get the sled to fire once temps went into the negatives. So I've backed way down to a 10% race fuel blend and it fires right up at -10f now. I,m only running stock boost 4.5-5
I was told we can get away with 100% pump gas once we take it to the hills 2000ft or more.

I sent an email to matt asking a few questions about the kit. He said you're fine running premium. Everywhere I run the premium is 92 or 93 octane. I plan on carrying some torco with me just incase I get stuck somewhere without premium.
