Guys,
I’ve been out a couple of times with this product, and I believe that I’ve hooked it up correctly. Currently have power going directly to the battery with a toggle (On/Off switch per the instruction) to activate the boost controller. Have the correct hose going to the wastage actuator and other going to the pressure source on the turbo.

When I flip the switch, turn the knob, it 'pops and farts' and only revs to 8500k~9000k :o| ...

If i hook a single hose from the wastage actuator to the pressure source, it works fine and goes up to 12lbs of boost.

My plan was to run the RPM low (currently running 9500k +/-)and then power up via boost up to the correct rpm....

Any help would be appreciated...

Thanks,

yes, it is a single stage controler...
Current boost is set as 12lbs, i want to turn is up, but this controler does not seem to be working properly.

well a single stage is usually jsut on or off then not way to have a high low setting. I use a dual stage on my car from turbo smart set the low set the high flip the switch to toggle. Don't forget to flip the switch to off if you park it that solonid will kill the battery fast!

I have the 2 stage one and there are two setting you can switch from one to the other. The switch is just for power. Give me a call, I will sell u mine.

Guys,
Going to try some different jetting this weekend and when i pulled the intercooler off and carbs i noticed that a clamp had slipped off. After looking into this a little more there is clearly some fuel/oil residue blow off onto the carb rack and intercooler... Looks like this may be a pluming issue. :exc:

Going out this weekend, I'll let you know...

I had nothing but problems with my Turbosmart boost T (the single stage knob no solinoid). I'm trying it this weekend with the check ball out (it always stuck to the seat) and a viton check valve inline. I also used a spool valve to make it a dual stage. Flip the switch and the WG signal has to go thru the boost T which is just a bleed orifice now and then thru the check valve before getting to the dashpot. I bench tested it and I can adjust the outlet pressure down to 12 PSI where my WG is set for even it if input 30 PSI +.

It is not a bleed style, check ball! It has worked prefect!!

Skydog: Going to install my Hallman boost control this week. You removed the jet in the line from the turbo to the wastegate, correct?
Thanks

That's odd the Hallman I tested at was bleed style, when I put shop air to it I could hear the air, maybe different model. I never took it appart to see how it worked as it wasn't mine to brake. Most controllers have check balls in them and bleed orifices. If I was going to spend on another I'd wan't one where you adjust the spring pressure on the check ball.

My 02.

The Turbo XS high perfoformance boost controller does just that. It has the adjusting spring against the ball and has a seperate adjustment for the bleed off. I only wish it came with an ajustment knob instead of using an allen wrench, I must have lost four of thoses tiny wrenches sofar, Ken.

You must have the cheaper Hallman. ((((If I was going to spend on another I'd wan't one where you adjust the spring pressure on the check ball.)))))) ;)! That is the Hallman Pro to a Tee!! It has a ceramic ball too that acts faster than the metal ones like all the others use!
