It is amazing what some dealers don't know. They thought I was wacked out when I asked them how to do it. Thanks again

Turning headlight on...
Is it possible to turn on the headlight on a 2005 RS Venture without starting the engine as well??

Yes.
1. Ensure that red kill switch on right handlebar is pulled up into the operating position.
2. Press and hold down the lower part of the thumbwarmer switch on the right handlebar.
3. While keeping thumbwarmer pressed down, turn ignition key to the "on" (not "start") position. Keep thumbwarmer pressed, and in about 7 to 10 seconds the headlights and instrument cluster lights will come on and the tachometer needle will do one full sweep of the dial face. You can now release the thumbwarmer swirch.

I had the fun of showing my two riding buddies last week how to do it on their new 08 vectors.
Here's a good one.. Please comment on what you think...
On our trip to Da yooper we keeped very close records of our fill-ups.. I have a 05 vector, they have the new 08s.. Mine has nearly 4,000 miles.. They have 750.. We did a total of 430 miles.. We all were within .007 gallons difference......... Yup less than one tenth of a gallon. We averaged 18.7 for the entire trip.. Some snow plowing to clean perfect trails, to riding some crappy roads... We just couldn't believe it. MM.

This is a good idea. Is there a way to turn on the gauges, to check the days trip meter, without the key?
