Yes,it has been a very good year for me,i feel very blessed, compared to last year lol so far I have put on 2100 this year, blew one belt in 2800 total miles, and this sled has been boosted almost from day 1,well day 9 to be accurate,ha ha... ride and handling were better when new,my torsion springs were shot after 700 hard miles,so my settings have to be on #3 most of time, and blocks are out,but rod stays in,for better ride and transfer.Sled handles flat for the most part, does dart more than I like, but that is subject to conditions,as snow softens darting does lighten up a lot,my 5.7 pilots with the big host bar of the shapers on 7.5 runners, has a lot to do with it,and slowing it down on top end on softer snow, plus grandpar windshield don't help top speeds on snow much either, overall I would rate it 8 out of perfect 10.... shocks will need a valve job next year, steve do you hear that lol.. I would like to maybe try a pair of less aggressive snowtrackers,if they make them for pilots, and maybe MPS from travis. The tuned up SW is so addicting, that freaking midrange pull,i have not had any good ice to do top end run on,so no big speeds,it does run 115 gps on semi soft snow on trail,so was hoping if on hard ice, maybe 125 gps,but don't think I will see that now, with our warm temps. Overall very happy with sled in general,no problems yet, still working on clutching with STM parts, may give dale a try next year,as I had his ramps in my cat turbo, and they worked very well. Gas milage with easy engagement I run, around 3000 gets me average 15 on hard pack, and up to 17 my worse milage was 12.5 but last week 15 normal, driving 40-90 mph with most of that 45 mph, when I got on big RR beds in northern county,my milage would drop to 14 but with this kind of power, that is impressive..

Yes this site is great for lots of info. But it does make it look like when someone has a issue it makes it look like it is a epidemic.
Like everyone is going to have the same issues.
On my 17 Winder. And I rode it like I stole it for 3500 miles the only things I ran into was blowing 2 belts and frozen fuel pump relay at -36. No big deal in my book.
We have also sold over 80 Winders the past 2 seasons and have only had 2 customers with problems that left them dead in the trail. Both 2018’s with sight glass poping out.
Not that this problem is acceptable but the percentage of problems vs units sold is.
Wish we could have the same result for the other 2 brands we sell.

I've had mine two seasons and just passed 6,000 miles. I've never blown a belt. I've been runming a tune for 4500 miles. I did have a reverse problem at 3700 miles. We fixed it when I changed my track this fall. I'm still riding and should hit 7,000 this season. I'm gonna keep it for next year.

Another thing I would like to add is if you are staying with the stock tune the stock clutching is very hard to beat. I know this from trying many combinations of springs, helix's and weights. I now have found my best performing set up to be totally stock primary with Dalton black/orange secondary spring @ 6-1 and stock helix. The sled is very responsive and does everything to my satisfaction. I somewhat ruined my second year experience with this sled because of the roll over valve mod and messing with my clutching. I spent way too much time screwing with my sled and reading about issues and not enough time riding. I now have come to the conclusion that I love riding my sled and hate working on it. I must be getting old because years ago I couldn't wait to try stuff and make changes on my sleds.

Second season on my 2017 LTX LE, 6000 kms so far, no blown belts, replaced secondary rollers at 300 kms with Cat rollers, still look good. Runnimg with TD stock muffler Ecotrail this year with dalton weights and dalton black /orange secodary spring.Removed roll over valve to avoid issues and keep oil out of the intake. but last season rode four days in Cochrane Ont., every night -35c, no issues starting or with roll over valve.Wish it had a little more fuel capacity, have to plan fuel stops, after 140 kms makes me nervous .
BTbt, just curious what your offset is at?

Maybe I ride harder than most and I know I am heavier than most as well at 295 Lbs, but I am on my 5th belt. They have replaced my rollers. I try and warm my belt up each trip just like I was told by the dealer and I roll into the throttle slowly to avoid snapping them. I dont slam the brakes on and hit the throttle before it gets a chance to backshift. I am still not confident in the sled like I was with my Apex and RX1

How many miles in between belts?

The first 2 went in 600 miles. They replaced my rollers checked my offset etc and set it to 6-2. Last time in the shop they set it back to 3-3 and I blew the next belt on my next ride. They set it back to 6-2 and it lasted about 500 miles or so and then blew again on my last ride. It was 38 degrees and there was about 2 inches of slushy snow, but it is a snowmobile I wasnt powder riding.

Yeah that is way too quick. I guess I am lucky with my 1100 mile belt life average. I would like to see 2K on a belt.
I ride pretty hard when trails and lack of traffic allows. I trailer to the bigger trails for my rides and usually only 2 of us,
So yeah we run them hard also.
I do make sure to let up slow on the throttle when riding hard, and also roll into the throttle once out of the corner. Something I have never had to do on my past sleds.
Hope your dealer finds your problem. Stay on them until, because yours is not normal.
What dealer?
