Ok I have two seasons on my Winder. Only 2800 miles due to two absolutely putrid Winters. I have the original belt and have never experienced any belt issues. I did the Roll over valve mod, 4th wheel kit, tunnel flares and 6.9 Pilot ski's.
The sled has been absolutely trouble free and has never missed a beat.
The ride and handling has been superb and the engine runs like a fine Swiss watch.
I did use some different clutch components this year but honestly I wish I would have saved my money and left it stock. Lots of bull crapping around for nothing.
This sled has been awesome for saddlebag tours and that's where most of my 2800 miles was spent. Fuel mileage when riding at trail speeds is excellent and the seating position is very comfortable.
My only negative on this sled comes from everything I read here on TY. Every time I ride it I'm waiting for belts to blow, oil tanks to leak, chain cases to fall apart, coolant hoses to bust, relays to freeze, tri hubs to fail and the list goes on and on.
We were up in Quebec for a week and all I kept thinking about were the potential issues with this sled yet it was flawless. Now I couldn't say that about my 1200 because the second day into our trip it broke down and I ended up riding double with my Wife on my buds Grand Touring.
While I love this site and all the great info there are times I wished I just rode my sled and knew nothing about it.

DILLY DILLY! I have only 500 miles on my sled so far and knock on wood, it is flawless as well. I put over 20K into my RX1 and got it perfect for my riding style. This sled far surpasses what i did on the RX1, virtually as a stock setup. The only thing i changed were the skis. Although I love this site, have learned a lot and made some great friends, I too hold my breathe every time I got out waiting for things to happen. Great job Yamaha!

1250 miles same belt. TD tuning TD clutching. No monkeying with roll over valve. Turn key hold on and smile.
One more blast hopefully after a trip to the Big Easy.

Just over 1k trouble free miles here. Running 270 hurricane tune most of the time and original belt. I did do the rollover fix as we have one sidewinder in our group leaking oil and assumption is that is why. We have had two other sidewinders have the relay issue where you have to pull and warm them. Other than that they have all been awesome. I have my handling dialed in now and can ride a fair amount faster than I could on my Apex. Big bump ability is impressive and is really where the sled distances itself from the Apex for me. (other than HP)

I hear ya. While this site is absolutely fantastic, a lot of posts will be asking for fixes vs saying it's running just fine. Just need to take that into consideration. I've been fortunate overall, but have had some minor issues. Luckily, things were either caught in time or preventative measures were taken. I've got over 2100 miles on and lots of enjoymnt. There have been times when I have been worried while riding wondering if today would be the day when the belt would go or something would go wrong. And that's thanks to too much reading here. Lol. Can't say I ever experienced that with my Apex. Communication goes a long way, however. And I still would rather have information on here to either give a head's up or help maintain or improve. Ride on!

I have just over 2100 miles on mine in two years and like XP123 im on original belt and its run flawless!! the only problem ive had is the heated seat quit working!! I have the TP big venom kit and have it wrapped at 3-3 and the clutches have ran warm is it unlike others that say it runs hot!! I also think about when are the problems going to happen after erading horror stories on here, but i love this site and is very helpful and couldnt imagine not looking at it first thing every morning and night!! Its very expensive to look though with all the goodies you can buy!!

Second season as well......
2500 miles so far. 1900 on stock belt. Changed for the sake of change.
1) one time no start after it had been running. I assume condensation on relay.
2) sled went in between forward & reverse at a stop. Cycled it back & forth, all good.
3) sled hit the 100mph brick wall, last week. I attribute that to wet heavy slush and 40° temps. I was however taken back by this. Sled has gone 115mph+ several times.
Sled has been an amazing part of my riding experience. As we progress with knowledge & understanding I will explore the possibility of a tune next season.
My first 4stroke snowmobile and thus far extremely pleased with product.
Thank you, TY for keeping me informed.
Now I know what 2smoke oil smells like. Yuck!

Started the year worrying about blowing a belt as well. I now have 1200 miles on the original belt and I have put it out of my mind. Headed back UP next Thursday (the 8th) for a week and hoping for another 800+. I have not done the ROV mod, still on the fence with this one. What I have done is, curve skis with Bergstrom triple points, JT big wheel 4th wheel kit, Turbo Dynamics clutch springs and rollers, BOP belt adjuster and belly pan protector, tunnel flares, excell charge tubes and a few other goodies like a windy, GPS and LinQ bag. I have enjoyed every mile on this sled, not gonna put a tune on it as it's just not for me. Sled is plenty fast without it. I didn't buy it to worry MPG either or having to use 91 octane. My opinion is if you are worried about that stuff than you bought the wrong sled. It's good info to know about freezing relays, ROV freezing, chaincase blowing up, oil leaks, coolant hose leaks or ruptures but i'm not going worry about it at all. Just gonna ride it, that's why I purchased the 5 year warranty, just in case something does happen. I love my 50th anniversary LT-X LE, its been good to me so far.

second season as well.... Put on 1000 miles first year with no problems. This year I put on over 4000 miles and had the coolant leak under the tunnel and oil tank seal let go. I have not blow any belts but have changed them at the 2000 mile mark. Must also add I did have the error code 26 come up a few times but it cleared up on it's own.
Awesome sled!
Awesome sled!

3000 miles, blew 2 belts both had almost 1000 miles on them. Puked oil everywhere after doing the ROV mod, put it back to stock and no more problems.
Now that I think about it my 2006 Apex had waay more problems. Never blew a belt but all the bogey wheels shredded at 700 miles, destroyed the track, fuel pump
relay, exhaust doughnuts, hand warmers, driveshaft bearings, battery died. I guess the Winder ain't so bad after all.....

2 seasons on mine also.
Last year I managed 1400 miles. Added an 1.22” Ice Attack, better windshield, curve skis with Woodys SJ, and a pair of sentinel hand guards with mirrors. Blew 1 belt at 1100 miles, got reimbursed for that plus the secondary rollers and had them check my clutch alignment and offset during the exhaust shield recall/ replacement. Also had them put on a set of Dupont sliders and they repaired my bad fuel mileage that I had told them about.
This year I put on a stealth 4 wheel kit, BOP belly pan protector and scratchers on the skis. Had the dealer put in one of his 245 tunes, (TD flash, clutch machining and his stock exhaust mod). Had starting problems after the flash so brought it back for repair, also had other issues with the flash that was repaired. Blew my second belt also after another 1100 miles. Now at 2500 so I should be OK for another 700 or 800.
Has been a good year of riding in our state. Really enjoying this season, and because of work load, this weekends ride is probably it. Oh yeah, just put a 22 on top for longer legs ! Shall be looking for ice again this weekend.
Very thankful to my dealer for all they have done. Saying that they are a great group of guys and gal, is an understatement.

So you remapped your ECU back to stock? Is that what you are saying? Shagnos..3000 miles, blew 2 belts both had almost 1000 miles on them. Puked oil everywhere after doing the ROV mod, put it back to stock and no more problems.
