Tore into my 05 rx1 to find out what was going on with the exhaust and found the flanges on the header pipes to all be cracked and or burned and no sign of an exh donut anywhere, the sled is new to me this past summer so I have no idea how long it has been this way.I encountered the same grief that others have mentioned doing this repair...frozen bolts and stripped heads on the bracket bolts that had to be drilled and clamps that had to have the bolts heated to remove pain in the butt!

A question I have is would this condition cause a miss fire or power loss ?

I now need to find a fix for the flanges and came across a flange reair kit on ebay for $135.00 ,,has anyone tried this kit with good results?

I would prefer to find the stainless pipes from an 04 or 03 but have had no luck locating a used set.

Thanks in advance for any help!

i had the same problem. got a new set of stainless from the dealer for 160$ each cnd plus tax. also changed to copper donut

Miss fire yes, power loss yes, back fire yes. I bought mine from dealer as well stainless updated pipe and copper donuts with very good results. If you want to spend the extra dough MBRP sells a nice set of stainless Y pipes for like 400 ish dollars.
