Glad I caught these issues before riding anymore . . .

It didn't blow the front shock. Is it the Star kit that saved it, or just lucky?

Mmmmmmmm, me thinks you were lucky. VERY lucky!

Deleted dumb statement :)

Wh wh why would you say that???

The right side rail to front-arm bolt is almost out too, did you see that? So much for clean bolts, LockTite and proper torque approach.

Just being a bit silly from not riding.

I've had every bolt in the front arm/rail back out at least once. More than all my other sleds combined!

Last year I replaced all the bearings in the driveline. Kept hearing a clunk going on and off the throttle. Put everything back together and saw I was missing arm to rail bolt and the arm to tunnel bolt was backed out halfway.

Off Topic, but I went 8 years with my BOSS (original flattop) mounted with the 2 snaps and 2 inch velcro. Last year the velcro started to come loose so I replaced it with the same 2 inch industrial velcro. It has come off twice now in less than 500 miles. The adhesive comes off the velcro not the aluminum.

What in the world am I doing wrong???

I am thinking of applying heat with a heat gun after I put yet another set of velcro on.

Acetone and scotchbrite is what I've always used to clean the tunnel. Then I heat it with a blow dryer and it'll stivk

My son thought it was funny watching me ride with a seat that swung way out to the side in every corner. He said "Just use your legs to hold it straight". I said "Not with 50 year old legs I don't" LOL

As for the Boss seat. I through bolted the seat with my custom tail light bracket. The furthest small storage area

I made replacement limiter straps out of baler belting. Very likely the same stuff that Yamaha used in the first place. I made them a bit wider (50 mm) except where they have to go through the guides.

I am thinking about adding another 50 mm strip to the nut side. What do you guys think?

I think that would be genius. Double strength so to speak. Do one side and not the other as a test. LOL.
