Uh Oh! Not that question again!

I never understand why Yamaha would spec different weights with the semi to full synthetic. Car OEMs spec one weight regardless the amount of synthetic it is.

Full synthetics are supposedly "thinner" or at least act that way. Like "long in the tooth" Danno says, any reasonable oil will do. Pick the best deal nearest or easiest to you & run it...

Thanks Dan I just ordered two jugs of Mobil 1 5w30 and two K&N 147 filters.
I saw the filter on ebay for $9.99....not sure how good that price is, but i like them.

Joe, let me know if you head to DGs, I am over there more and more this fall...maybe meet up sometime again and yak abit bud. Just sold my PB80 from the 1200, so only parts left is the adj riser.

Sounds good Dan. I will be taking my sled in for a few warranty updates next Month. My Wife and I are retiring the end of this Month and heading to Italy for two weeks. When I get back I will be in pre season snowmobile mode. I'm not sure meeting and talking sleds with you at Don's is a good idea. Last time I ended up with a new Sidewinder!:letsnow:

XP, congrats on your "new style of life" retirement. You made it. Plus you're very smart by taking care of the wife BEFORE the riding season. Maybe you can have a seminar for my friends that always have a spouse excuse not to go!!!!!!

My Amsoil 0w-30 is 4th on the list & the first 0w. I've seen a lot of tests with different results & Amsoil, Mobil & Pennzoil always seem to be on top.

The wife is taking care of me. The reason I'm retiring when she does is she is my retirement plan and has all the money. She gets just as excited as I do about riding and is my best riding bud. Last week she told that I need to remember to buy our Quebec season passes early to get the discount. Then she says we should go to Quebec at least three times to get our moneys worth. I just listen and do what I'm told like a good husband. She is the reason I bought my Sidewinder last season.

Amsoil makes a great oil. I just have never seen it priced even close to Mobil 1. That is where I always lean to Mobil 1. Easy to find at nearly all walmarts and ofcourse price is impossible to beat.
