ulmer a arm bushing install

I don't think it gets so hot that they would melt or anything. Normally the powders cure at 200°C (390°F) for 10 minutes. Aluminum melts at 660°C while bronze melts at 950°C so no heat issues here. As for the oil in Oilite, it may be affected but only what's exposed on the surface.

Oh yeah not worried about them melting, just cooking the lubrication out of the oilite bushing. I probably would be fine but no reason to take the chance when I have it apart and I already bought the new ones ;)! It's getting cold here, better get my arse in gear and finish this thing..........need parts powder coated, drivers installed, studs installed, sub frame installed and some cosmetic stuff to be finished up. One weekend should knock it out, just need it all there and ready to be installed :exc:

I thought I read somewhere, if you put the bushings in the freezer for a bit, they slide right in?

That would definitely help. If you can warm the a-arms up without damaging the paint, that would make it even better.
