I have a 2015 RTX 129 with an Ulmer kit STM weights in primary has a Ulmer K helix and was wrapped at 6-3 . Will spin to 9000-9100 when I punch it when traveling at at 30-40 mph. I have the 8 jp belt and get ridiculous belt dust. Seems like a lot of tension at 6-3, would there be any harm in going 6-2 to lower that side tension a bit and I was thinking it would maybe pull the secondary open a tad more to help top end and MPG when just cruising?
Unfortunately I can’t test where I am so it would be a bummer to trailer 5 hrs and then find out at 6-2 wrap I’ve got major belt slippage and lost a ton of rpm

As long as the clutches are clean and all wear parts are serviceable I don’t think a 10* reduction in twist will cause belt slippage, should just shift out a little quicker which is exactly what you’re after.
